Advised Midas Group on its investment in Agile Robots’series B financing

Cosmic Ocean is pleased to announce that the company acted as buyside-advisor for Midas Group on their investment in a leading robotics technology company Agile Robots’ series B financing round for an undisclosed amount. The transaction was closed in Jan 2021. Lead investors include China Merchant Bank and New Hope Group. Existing investors such as Hillhouse Ventures, Sequoia Capital China, Linear Capital and others also invested in this round. Agile Robots plans to use the newly raised capital for the development of future robotic products and building mass production facilities.


 Agile Robots was founded in 2018 by a group of senior engineers at German Aerospace Center (DLR)，it has dual headquarters in Munich, Germany and Beijing, China. The company makes some of the most intelligent robots combining robotic vision, motion sensing, machine learning and multi-system OS, to be used in a wide range of industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture and logistics. 

 Midas Group is a private equity/venture capital firm with presence in both Taiwan and Mainland China. It focuses its investment in three main sectors, include information technology, high end manufacturing, and healthcare. Its track record includes acquisition of Microlife, which was the biggest LBO deal in Taiwan for years.
